Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Years after leaving SEARS there is still nightmares

Yup. For a while they were very persistant however I have learned to harness these unwanted dreams with brain wave music/ binaural beat music. Anyways the usual nightmare consists of during repetitive tasks or completing a plan o gram that my supervisor would ruin. I would set up the plan o gram perfectly, all measued out and set to the proper hook, bin, and fin count only to have Mr. Crash come along, rip off the proper hook off and overload it with drooping merchandise. Often times I am stocking the floor diligently am aware that I am dreaming and say to myself "i DON'T HAVE TO DO THIS.....I don't work here anymore, I can quit any time I want".

My nightmare is getting stuck on the elevator with some of the VP's that are going up to floor B6 at Hoffman corporate.... or attending one of the 'Town Halls' with Eddie and the only folks with questions are the ones with the 'softball' questions, no one has the guts to ask a 'hardball' question.... listening to the same old excuses of why Sears is not profitable any longer.... If I hear "we are fighting like he!!' any more I am going to lose it. Logging onto Pebble and seeing all the fake positive comments... doing those silly OKR's every quarter.... no matter what you put in there it's just rubber stamped... just as long as an OKR is typed in that's all they cared about.

My nightmare is standing around in a dead store with no customers in sight, only hearing the fluorescent lights buzzing loudly above and that godawful crappy music blaring over the intercom, briefly interrupted every five minutes with happy-go-lucky pitches for "why not lease it" or a Sears card.

Every once in a very long while the sad-sounding fitting room beeper breaks the silence from across the store. Wait a minute, is there actually a customer in here? No such luck, it was just an mca checking the fitting rooms, though I don't know what for because there are no customers in sight!

Mine is the DM constantly changing something he told me to do last week or the 500 nasty emails he sends every day. I had printed out the abusive emails at one time and I was going to send them to HR to show the abuse but I just quit. Maybe someone could do that with their DM's nasty, abusive emails and show the hostile work environment they create.
