I dont see how marketing has existed this long. There is no communication. HO keeps changing the way we do things from week to week. Now, we are to be in field only, not working anywhere in the Club. Online offers are much better than we can offer in field. These monthly Business Blitz are getting old. To survive it members have to make up businesses. We should be phased out soon!

No, we do not have Membership conferences calls or anything else as far as membership is concerned. Hardly any communication, only on Sales Pro chatter and what little info HO puts out, they revise it by the next week. The codes they give us do not work 3/4 of the time. Their grammar is so child like. Seems like we are losing membership/marketing week by week 😕

So many changes not looking good for Membership. Doing our best not knowing week to week whether or not our positions will be terminated. Leaving us very little to work with, it's all looking doomed from here on out.🙁

That actually makes sense we put contact information for our drives in salespro hr contacts ,there name, address, phone number, we gave them everything they need to contact them.Makes sense of they get rid of marketing they still want that member to renew or now they can email blast them invites for join and save events and employee offers better than what marketing ever could.Good way to make sure they don't lose the new signups.

Had a change of mind. Yes, this is possible. I can see HO doing this to us. That could be why they want all these businesses put in sales pro. There is no way they can keep membership. Online offers are better and besides it's crazy to pay 2 ppl salary and gas mileage when we are having a hard time bringing in revenue anymore

I am a marketing team lead and just heard that some of my HR contacts received letters saying there was no longer going to be a marketing dept. and that all renewals can be done online. Has anyone else heard of their contacts recieving letters?

I'm a coordinator and I completely agree marketing is just a waste of payroll now.We have crap offers we have no where to go we've blitzed everything out. They only tell us changes the day before no focus on us what's so ever .Maybe in big cities it still works.

Membership TL in my club don't do sh-- we been having issues with out printer and computers and all she said well call it in how in the world do we have time to call it in when we are so busy and sort staff and on top of that the phones don't stop ringing with stupid question. When we ask question always said I don't know REALLY you are supposed know how to do online returns and taxes except. Doesn't go out in the field to try to bring in memberships

In our club it’s the same walks around like her sh-- don’t stink, and never goes out of club. If this is direction to be out pounding the pavement then they need to make it clear, and get her out of the office.

Marketing is a waste of payroll. All our Team lead did 80%of the time was help the desk and groceries. He quit months back and they never rehired. We don’t have marketing

Marketing getting level 7 and level 6 pay to work in bakery and desk. Let’s face it going into a business begging and giving away free products is not working. Sams wanted people, digital, and product have yet to see this in any club. I’m begging can we for once focus on what your actually trying to do, rather it be scam n go, self checkout, digital, online, plus, credit I could go on and on. Managers are running around like chickens no heads. These countless conference calls waste of time for management and the associate. Say what the f--- you want and let’s move on.

HO is so confused. They say they want marketing out in the field but continue to make clubs run at 98%. That means that we have to cut hours in club and use marketing in club. Hard to do your job when you are needed in other areas. All anyone sees is that we are a waste in payroll. There things that are not on our (all associates) job descriptions that we do daily.
