Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Wow! Just saw commercial for sears in michigan

On TLC channel...50% off on appliances

Was a really quick commercial not even 10 seconds long

Trying to puch Kenmore Elite

Wonder how much their delivery charge increased for those people that don’t have sears closer than 100 miles

Why go through all that when you can go to your local Home Home Depot you can look at appliances in person and prob get free delivery

The younger generation gave up when they saw mom crying about the expensive Kenmore fridge she bought that broke almost right away and Sears refused to fix properly.

"Wonder why they are not advertising on local channels?"

CBS is a local channel.

Halmark channel... the demographics of the over 60 crowd. Another way to bring in the new generation of customers. Ha, Ha, Ha

Wonder why they are not advertising on local channels?

And a lot of people stream their programming currently to avoid any commercials so how do they know if anyone even sees the commercial?

I have not seen the Kmart ad

Saw the Sears appliances ad several more times on Discovery tonight. It's a decent non-annoying ad, unlike that Kmart one - hearing your description of their ad, I'm glad I don't have a local Kmart, so apparently they haven't bothered running it in my market.

Both Sears and K-mart are advertising on the Hallmark Movies and Mysteries and the K Mart commercial darn near mimics a going out of business commercial by SCREAMING the words BLOW OUT at you multiple times

They are advertising heavily on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries channel , they are running nothing but Christmas movies till the 15th of July. I assume this will continue on the regular hallmark channel from the 15th to the 31st when that channel runs Christmas movies .

Watching commercials on TV. How retro. Thought everyone had a DVR or did streaming now. At least a TV commercial catches Sears' core customer.

Yep, they've been running that same short commercial on several channels recently, I think I saw it on CBS last week. It's for the 4th of July appliance sale. How long has it been since they last did any TV advertising? IIRC there wasn't any last holiday season.
