Thread regarding Mondelez International Inc. layoffs

Major changes are coming

With everything that's been going on, if you don't see the writing on the wall you'll have only yourself to blame once the you-know-what hits the fan.

Get ready people, this will be a bumpy ride. Those who have a chance to get off before it even starts will be among the few lucky ones.

Make total sense! Thanks for letting me know! Time to start looking for other employment. I won't receive much severance since I only been here less than a year

Yes!!!!! They lie all the time. As another post mentioned, “they are worse than used car salesmen”.

A decision such an a exit from dsd has to take literally years to prepare for. They say “we” are committed to dsd, but when the ball drops their out will be that it wasn’t their decision. That is how they will justify their behavior, they were committed but retailers were not. Whether we exit in a month or 6 months, believe me they have been gearing up for retailers to go warehouse for a long time. After close to 20 years their pattern of lies has caught up to them!

Do upper management lie to you? I've only worked for Mondelez for almost a year. Should I start looking for another job?

What are the major changes coming? Everything is status quo here. No layoffs. We're growing! We're actually hiring. My DM said that we may add a territory.

Anyone who believes we are going to be paid to tweek and adjust orders is simply an id--t! Dsd is ending and every red flag is being waved in your face. I’m not a troll, or the hit send guy, just a rep with nabisco for almost 20 years. If you don’t see what is coming you really should start to look for other employment now, you may need a little extra time. Not a single chance in hell dsd isn’t going away, and after Keebler’s exit management is doing all they can to keep the wheels on until the end. One team one dream is their campaign to attempt to make people feel safe, as anyone knows management will lie, cheat, and steal to get things done! Wake up and don’t be a victim! When the announcement is made they won’t feel an ounce of sympathy for you or anyone else!

We are not going anywhere. Only CAO at Walmart which most vendors are now. Not really effecting much at all. We still adjust and add to order with no issues. Nothing to worry about.

Stay till the end. Take the severance and whatever you can get from this company. They'll be jobs out there when it's time. Good luck everyone!

Keebler is not hiring merchandisers again, fake news! They have reps that handle the entire Kellogg portfolio. They have 100 minutes in a store on average, not nearly enough time to start to merchandise Keebler. If the product is there, the problem lies with the retailers getting it to the floor! Problem the same with all grocery items in those stores!

Yep game over!! Won't be much longer now! DSD is dead

Yes there is no law requiring severance that's why most states give you almost 6 months of unemployment, and yes the severance plan can change at anytime but since we are not going out of business or going bankrupt there really isn't a reason they would change it or not offer one.

It in my opinion at the moment there is more argument that there will be a possibility of a retention pay out and severance

just because there not required by law is not an argument

Yep, it is very poorly run. No sacrifice is too big. There is no federal law regarding severance and if you read the fine print, it can be changed at any time. I suffered this long, may as well milk it to the end. Looking forward to having a life again.

Yep game over soon folks! It's been a good ride. Spent 7 year's here. Time to move on. Bigger and better things for all! Mondelez has treated us very poorly the last few years! Hope the severance is worth staying around for.

Nabisco/Mondalez will be warehouse in 1st quarter 2019. May start sooner in certain parts of the country.

DSD is to expensive, Keebler/Kellogg has become very profitable with lower expenses. With lower labor expenses Kellogg is able to go to market with a reduced price at retail and it is working.

No DSD exit this year!!!! All fake news here look at the old threads of people trying to say the date where leaving or announcing

Not one has happened. There is one that says July 9 and that date will come and go like the rest. In September there will be a thing with Dirks new vision for the next couple of year and that wont include a DSD exit it will be the opposite with us picking up tates.

There will be changes coming but not dsd exit. We will probably have less sales reps and more full time order writers, possibly loseing our cars, and some kind of restructuring, but no dsd exit planed in the near future. There going to wait at least 2-3 years after keblers exit to see how it works and right now in 50-70% of stores it's not working right that's why they are hiring merchandisers again We are not going to go until they see if kebler can do it right

We will go warehouse everywhere eventually. Walmart is 1st. Nabisco will do it differently than Keebler did. It will be a longer drawn out process

I'm not arguing that our jobs are safe because of tates my argument has always been that we are not going warehouse, they could fire us all tomorrow for all I know and have a 3rd party to order and pack out

Warehouse just doesn't work for 50-70% of our stores look at kebler in big regional areas that aren't dominated by just 2 chains kebler has been dying out there. If the chain doesn't own there own warehouses like many regional chains dont we have been killing it and kebler runs empty all the time

In that area tates is currently handled mostly by 3rd party vendors with there own warehouses which are currently going to be loseing that proudut soon some where even brought out of there contracts I herd. They have had most of there growth not with warehouse model but with someone bringing in that product in, so it makes sence that if the 3rd partys are losing it and dirk said tates will use DSD that the NY based company will need some space to start distributing it on mdlz trucks
