Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Probably the only time there will be one is when Wall Street demands one after a big miss. Until then, they'll keep things under the radar.

Never say never. It's still possible that if the sales don't improve, there will have to be a massive layoff. Agreed they want to do small rolling layoffs, but at a certain point, they may not have that choice anymore. There are a lot of people not doing much of anything, just s---ing money for nothing. It can't go on forever.

For the folks at the old Sun group, last year's layoff felt very massive, even if it wasn't 10,000 people.

They told us we can't have massive layoffs and we have to do it a certain way so posters can say it's never happened. I say that's smart, not sad but smart. I wanted the massive layoffs.

It doesn’t matter if the water leaks out through a pin hole or a gash. It is still gone Those who get canned don’t care if they were part of a large group or not. Neither do their colleagues.
