There was a post from @T8EbL54-1ral a few threads back, on the troll thread "Kmart is so cheap", stating they were told to post sales and promotions on Craigslist and Letgo for marketing purposes.
OK...Craigslist and Letgo are for individual people and maybe for mom and pop establishments to use to post their belongings up for sale. Do our competitors (Lowe's, Walmart, Macy's...etc...) use these sites? No! Absolutely not! They all have an independent marketing department with a budget.
Others have said that they drive around their community to distribute photocopied flyers to local businesses. I can personally vouch for this, I do it all the time at my store. Others have written that they watch real estate sites for sold homes to mail out flyers to new homeowners.
For a publicly traded retail company, have we fallen so far that we are forced to resort to cheap and tacky marketing tactics? Have we fallen so far down that we rely on avenues of free marketing?
Those of us at the store level are completing a task that should be handled by dedicated marketing professionals at headquarters.
Yeah, Kmart (and Sears) is so cheap!
