Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

John Legere VS Lowell McAdam

McAdam is taking a beating. The worse thing is, McAdam seems to be in complete denial and does not know who his competition is.

Big German T Mobile will take that number one spot from Verizon like taking candy from a baby Lowell. The implications for us will be obvious.

Sprint’s debt to equity ratio is nuts. Everybody and their mother is shorting the stock. Masayoshi needs to sell pronto.

If merger goes through TMo will disassemble Sprint’s network piece by piece. Not a merger really but an acquisition of spectrum and long haul fiber. On paper they will look “big” but the network will be a hot mess for YEARS. If I worked at TMo and I was told I’d spend the next 3-5 years merging a second rate CDMA carrier’s assets into a GSM carrier’s network I would quit on the spot.

If merger falls through Sprint will sell to private equity and be dismantled for parts. Either way you end up with three major wireless carriers.

we all meticulously examine the role we play in our success or failure, and fairly note the results, it would be evidently clear that we are our own contributors.
