The system becomes disfuntional because dishonest people abuse it. It is not the fault of Americans for others to be dishonest.

So sort out why it makes sense for companies like Cisco to bring in foreign employees rather than moan about it. The States was built by immigrants seeking a new life. This is no different.

You either get immigrants coming in or the work goes to them overseas. All it says is that the States is structurally not functioning properly.

A friend of mine was hired directly from Bangalore. He only receives 40k out of more than $200k budget. The friend can only share a one bed room with 8 other roommates in SJC. He is paid in India rupee. There is no tax he needs to pay in the States. The Indian consulting firms partner with the Indian managers to take advantage of Indian engineers, US tax payers, and public shareholders.

About time that something was done as Cisco has been laying off US workings and bring in H1B workers for years. Cisco dose not care about it US worker only what they can put in upper management pockets.
