Guys, there’s no way that they are eliminating the SMB role, firing 1/3 of GMs, firing a ton of SM’s and converting half the stores to indirect. Due to business needs, our stores wouldn’t run for a couple weeks and Verizon would lose money. It makes no sense from a business perspective. There may be cuts tomorrow but nowhere near what people are saying. This is fear-mongering and serves no purpose. Continue doing your jobs and until you no longer align with the company or the company no longer needs you.

We had a store in CP close one day and open the next as indirect. That’s not a rumor that is a reality. Verizon doesn’t care about people, they care about their bottom line.
Couple stores in my district closed last week. Nothing happened today. My Director is in town today. I’m assuming he’s visiting the closing stores today.
Our district manager started removing soultions managers earlier this week to stay under headcount. We have had he same number of managers for the last four years.
They would totally do it and get the reps to cover the slack. We said the same thing about the experience specialists. They’ve been freaking about business all year because they’re getting rid of smb reps eventually. Key holders will do the jobs of sm’s, sm’s will do the job of gm’s, and gm’s will do the job of dm’s. The good news is that the writing is on the wall for dm’s. The money they might lose for a few weeks will pay for itself in one pay period after benefits are eliminated. Lets not even talk of the money saved by going indirect. This is not to say it’s all happening at once, or today, but never doubt the shadiness that is Verizon.
The other point to make so that if we merge gm’s today, it’s because we’re waiting for leases to expire.
Bull, do you really think he would tell you!...lol
Fear mongering... Just talked to my VP of retail sales yesterday nothing is happening in South Central tomorrow.
Seems like someone is in denial, can't sleep? Those shady sales are catching up with you now.
As a-- & hearing of confirmed store closures. I believe the previous poster... Stores all switching to indirect FOR SURE!
I can confirm from DM the next step to convert all to indirect in retail continues
