Tell Dell - Dont expect an outcome if you dont give feedback

True Story. If you want your Tell Dell score read and have a legitimate issue . . do it.

If Dell is missing a customer need, not reacting to the market, or internal issue . . .bullying, ethics, team, morale etc.. . . then put it forward. The scrutiny these get now as EPS is just as high as NPS.

Be short, to the point and give a solution. So often people talk around in circles about work but the managers dont know what to do. Put it out there, give the solution you believe we should do and what will happen if we dont (lose staff, lose customers, risk integrity etc) . . . rate your responses with a strong disagree and it will get reviewed.

Worse thing you can do is do nothing and expect change.

I have worked for Dell for 10 years. Tell Dell is for newbies who are still gullible. I have yet to see one change. I have heard a lot of talk that things are being investigated or pending change in processes, but never ONE actual change. It has been business as usual. Think about it. Do you think MD and his cohorts are worried about low morale when the business is imploding and huge debts pending?

Last year I gave negative feedback or rather blunt and true feedback in tell Dell. The result was my manager was fired in four months. Looks like Tell Dell works.

don't bother with this survey. It is useless annual practice like fake finantial positions just for the sake of looking good to people that preserves them.

Tell Dell feedback goes only to your direct manager. If you are making a point about how crappy the higher ups are, they don't care. If you are like me and your direct managers are fantastic even though the higher-ups are beyond inept, don't fill out a negative Tell Dell. Anything negative will be sent to your manager to fix. Michael Dell, Jeff, BJ, whoever else, just do not care. It only reflects negatively on your direct manager.

Don’t do it if you want to keep your job. If you list negativity you will be on the layoff list. Gave manager truthful feedback on tell Dell and was layed off two weeks later.

Another true story:

You were born, because

That one sperm did not sit at home thinking it wouldn't make any difference among million other sperms.

So do it for the right.

it always bothers me with managers not knowing what to do. Dude if you are empty in between your ears and s--- at sourcing wisdom from the crowd the other 364 days of the year and had to rely on one survey to get anywhere well.. congratulations, you are safe in Dell!
