Let’s do some reality check , it is a common knowledge and that’s how decisions are made in professional life , make this clear in your mind ..management skills are permanent and key (important) whereas engineers are replaceable or variable.
How ever good engineer you are , it’s a skill which can be acquired easy but skills needed to be at top notch r as leaders need years of experience with maturity and vision. I will not argue as to how the current management is performing but trying to tell how /why these decisions impact lower levels and unfortunately we all are mere dots in the global manpower supply. And remember you are important in your own way and for management to make lines they need dots like us which makes us adaptable in any company and these guys have less opportunities than us.
