What does Amazon see in Sears?

They do it to get a foot in the door into the retail space. Take tires for example. They partner with Sears to sell tires and Sears take the responsibility to install. If they sell a few tires or not they lose nothing, Sears has all the risk. They will learn a few things, make a few mistakes, and tweek somthings. Even if SHC goes BK, Amazon has gained experience with tire sales and they can move on to someone else installing the tires i.e. costco, walmart, Discount Tire, Pep boys, whoever.
I think Amazon partners with anyone that is desperate and it basically benefits for Amazon.
All Amazon does is have the item listed (easy part) the hard part is offering the service when payment is do (the hard part). Amazon takes a little commission and they now have to provide the service honeslty Amazon benefits more here than Sears does.
Amazon “partners” with literally anyone. Look at some of the off brand crap with poorly translated product info that gets highlighted on there.
