I did run (retired) and it was the best decision I ever made.

Ex - audit team ,if you got 30 years plus and not near retirement age ,take the severance and run. If your close to retirement ,keep your stock and run. Time to retire,wal- mart doesn't want to pay you hourly or medical as you get older. Run.

To 2bjk- No one sounds like they were whining so quit being ignorant! Furthermore, no one trying to change anything, your comprehension must be at a first grade level! Big difference between asking about a time frame and whining so move along to a different site that you can understand.

Quit whining and go to work. Nothing you can do about any changes.

I would just like an answer. I know it is coming. I have turned down other jobs, waiting for the anticipated severance. I have a job offer know, that is pretty close to the money now. Just hate knowing I could be leaving a pretty nice severance.

The first person that replied is not a Receiving Clerk. A Receiving Clerk would not reply back as such.

Are they doing away with all lead positions?

Severance will vary depending on your length of service. The longer you are with the company, more severance. Hopefully they don’t change the severance policy. Be aware there will be no deductions

for stock, 401k, med, dental, etc.

Only taxes. This can be a significant

hit tax wise. Talk with your accountant so you can prepare.

To avi- why put in a notice and leave with nothing? We know it will happen but why give up 28 weeks of severance pay to leave right now? Why walk away from $26,000 pay out(before tax)? You do what ever makes you happy but for some of us-we want this payout so we have to wait until we are actually told a date. Definitely looking for other jobs and other options but not leaving behind $26,000

Invoice clerk

Go to work, do your job. Stop worrying about when you are going to lose your job. Life is too short. If you are that worried, then find something. Put in your notice and enjoy life. You have control over what you want to do. Just have the courage to take the leap. There are so many jobs out there . If you are at the top of the pay scale, many companies are starting pay 2 -3 dollars less an hour then what you are making now at the top end.

2% raises for everyone. Really!?!?! Doesn’t matter how good or mediocre you are. Have confidence in yourself. BTW, I am also waiting for the axe.

waiting for the axe to fall
