So it appears IBM won the outsourcing deal of Verizon IT or most of it. This is how the company screws its employees out of the severance packages and saves money. You go work for IBM for a year and 70% of people get replaced and your years of service mean nothing. Too bad IT can't unionize. What a horrible company that has become a hot bed for reverse discrimination in IT against all races except Indians.

I am firing Verizon wireless after about 7 of the last 9 years. I will send my money to TMobile. I don't work for them and actually don't like them, but I hate Verizon and AT&T employee/contractor policies.

My partner has worked for Verizon for a long time, and gave blood, sweat and tears for the strike in 2016. Now they talk about outsourcing. They are ruthless and I will encourage everyone I know to get rid of Fios and Verizon wireless phone deals!!!!!!!!

huh - the rumors we have been hearing is the exact opposite: Outsourcing has been deemed inefficient, and scrapped altogether. Still hearing a high RIF number, however.
2 things about this: 1 - This has been one of the worst kept secrets in VZW history. The IBM takeover of EUS and infrastructure is well known. 2 - IT in VZW is about 60% people from a certain region of the globe (and that is not including H1Bv contractors). That's what makes VZW such a diverse company! Yay VZW
