Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

This is sad

The way things have been going lately, we might need the unofficial official layoff report daily instead of weekly. Do we know how many were laid off yesterday total?

I find it really funny that somebody recently posted that layoffs at Oracle were over. Talk about having your head stuck firmly in sand.

I can tell you layoffs were LONG in coming. I can't tell you how I know without giving myself away, but these go back to at least November 2017 maybe longer. But at least back to November 2017.

What does this mean? Are you saying there are layoffs coming this month?

The market knows Oracle Cloud is risible.

What the market needs to know is that Oracle execs have been trying to mislead and defraud the market and our investors in any possible way.

there is no need for insiders, every analyst knows exactly what's the current position of OCI.

this is Q4 WW cloud market share (excluding only SaaS, and yes, this is the only market where Oracle has some market share, but in absolute alue is marginal) :

Oracle is in the "Next 10" and is losing market share YoY in a double digit growing market (!!!!)

nope, no need for insiders, Oracle Cloud is simply risible, and all analyst knows this very well: OCI is simply not existant in the overall market

"There were NO layoffs this week."

Typical. MH denied cuts were coming a year ago in April just before layoffs hit in May, but made sure that no WARN notices were triggered so he could talk about how amazing Oracle is doing. Now we have claims here that cuts that did happen aren't real.

I got out a while ago, but I hear the inside propaganda from peers who decided to stay. The internal Kool-aid is that the Hub is just crushing their numbers, Oracle is in the running for #3 in Cloud (along with Google and IBM) and that Oracle is doing great. That's some serious brainwashing going on.

Apparently some people will believe what they are told.

Trolls are saying no more layoffs. There is a huge wave coming. You really need to look at the future and start looking. If you want a package, that is fine but make sure you have something lined up.
