Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

What's up with the security guards?

Never had one in my store. Now they are here. The security guy says it's a national thing.

More overhead for these overpriced retail relics. What a drain on the bottom line they are. I don't understand what is taking so long to close them down. Asinine.

Petty crime is up thanks to Democrats. In California about 5 years ago all stores had a gaurd for about a year, then crime went down and they were pulled out. Now that California is run by leftist, and they like crime ( grows government). Snatch and grab is on the rise especially in so/nor Cali. So the guards are back in certain stores. Nothing to do with layoffs.

They are there in case the staff riots because of the bull-s-it the put up with everyday. They are told to physically stop an employee from saying "Why the f--- are you here!, this has nothing to do with Verizon, and yes we have no special promotionsto bring you in the stores for Memorial Day to buy, business as usual.

Guy came into my store in a black van and said he was vz security and i was to let him in the safe. Went well, he said thanks and took for $40,000 in cash with him. Verizon is smart for hiring them, he was very nice to me.
