Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

An Amazing Opportunity to Laugh Your A-- Off

Now THIS is rich...MH rhapsodizing on LinkedIn about the virtues of new grads (i.e., millennials) and doing his darndest to tell them why they should come work at ORCL. Read between the lines and you’ll have a very entertaining read indeed.

He did neglect to pitch the “green” aspect of the OD hubs (a.k.a. the “take out your own trash” program)! Maybe he’ll get to that in another LinkedIn post. LOL.

@Tpn6eKu-1rcn — I think you’re right that MH is looking to bag some young millennial tail! I mean, the main impetus behind the hubs is cost cutting, but if he can also score in the process...hey, no harm in that. Amiright?

Come to Oracle and go on the shelf and rot on the vine.

While Oracle is reorganising into hubs laying off experienced people and trying to make savings while attempting to produce some cloud stuffs, if I were a graduate, and even knowing that Oracle lay people off easily, I would still take a job at Oracle (if I had no better opportunity). It is a good way to get exposed to the corporate culture (that is toxic not only at Oracle) and make your first professional experience. You need to treat any job as if you were a contractor: you are diapensable and you need to stay marketable by learning what the job market want, not your current employer.

LOL

It’s an opportunity for employers to catch lightning in a bottle—to bring in passionate, talented people who can reinvigorate their organizations with new ideas and skills.

Still think he's looking for tail. Looking through all the female graduates as they parade through his house.

"Step into my lair", said the spider to the fly.

@Tpn6eKu-yab...LOL! Thanks for providing the actual link (and to the earlier poster for recalling the trashercize tagline). And MH thought he was being so cutting edge clever with the Take Out Your Own Trash Green Program. I guess everything old is new again!

Take your own trash, a concept invented back in 1995!

Exhibit #1 in an age discrimination law suit. Good job MH.

The people in the comments saying “how do I join” are a riot. Yeah, the best and brightest there.

This makes me think of the old Dilbert "trashercize" cartoon.

Take out own trash and stocking your own snacks = massive savings. You can’t make this stuff up!

Classic piece of PR crafted by a spin doctor. When you know what is happening behind the scene it is indeed laughable.
