HAH is holding interviews today in the office . I'm curious why they laid off so many only to hire more.

Previous poster is obviously in the honeymoon phase of his or her new job. I'm happy for you, I really am. It's been a very long time since I've felt that way and if I'm being 100% honest, I'm probably a bit jealous too. But make no mistake, no company will EVER put you before their bottom line. Ever. The grass is not always greener and sometimes the devil that you know is better than the one you don't. Just be smart folks.
Why would you want to stay with an unethical, ruthless, lying company that tells staff it is for the good of members.

They are hiring people who will go into the field. That has been their main focus this year and last year. In all the town hall meetings they talk about in home care and do not mention telephonic. They will go ahead and hire these people and if they don’t need them after the work is caught up they will just lay them off like they did that HCM‘s for HAH last year
To the person who resigned from Snp, its been more cost effective because they have refused to hire anyone. They havent replaced a single person that has left, that I am aware of. They have given the rosters of those who have left, to the remaining employees. We all seem burnt out.
Come on, wake up! I was there 10 years and they hit me in the latest RIF. They very week they sent emails to those of us affected they had my exact job in my exact town on job websites!
I was not even close to what new hires make coming in. The idiots running HUMANA are just that idiots. Get out while you can, it is not worth it. I have new job, more money and happy
Just when I think this hcm job can’t get any worse it does. Every day I dread getting out of bed. Feeling stressed out every minute. There are not enough hours in the day to do this job and do it well. It’s going to just keep getting wore. Rosters are not manageable.cant take much more need to start seriously looking to get out!
I worked in SNP and resigned because I was desperately unhappy. Applied for many jobs internally with no response. I would have jumped at the chance for almost anything else. I dont understand why they dont make any attempt to move people laterally- it cant be cost effective to keep turning over and retraining people

I have an idea; but im not mgmt so dont quote me ;) HAH laid off a bunch of people to save money. They earned record profits last quarter since firing so many. However, we are currently drowning in our rosters (at least in the SNP department) and we need more people to help meet demand. Do you know what department they are hiring for?
