People laid off this week were due to the same reason Dell was able to buy EMC - declining storage revenue due to overlapping product lines and no unified strategy. Now there is a new Storage roadmap to fit the unified strategy created by the senior leadership team.

Don't know all the details or about other locations yet, but most of the engineering staff in Burlington, Ontario (Dev andQA) have just been given notice, with a final day of August 3rd.
