Has anyone recently been successful in getting unemployment in Utah. I filed and it was denied because Fidelity is still fighting it. I have appealed and have a appeal hearing in a week. I was wondering if anyone recently has gone through this mainly in Utah but it may apply in other states as well.

I know they didn't send representatives to an appeal hearing in NC. Bastards.
How did the3 appeal go?
Attend your hearing. Fidelity will not attend. Present your case. The fact is, there was no policy and fidelity is firing people over something that happened years ago. A friend of mine just had his hearing yesterday and the judge reversed the initial decision and awarded him unemployment.
I was told by Fidelity HR that the company does not contest unemployment benefits. If there is a hearing they do not send anyone. I'm not sure if that's changed or if they would treat this situation differently.
Many states if you are fired for "cause" (like Fidelity marked it up), there is a waiting period imposed before unemployment benefits kick it. Fidelity is not fighting it, it is the states rules that will make you prove that your firing was for reasons that were unintentional to claim benefits immediately. Good luck, Fidelity literately screwed up the lives of over 200 employees and their families in many ways.
