They get a sick joy in making people nervous and worried by teasing about this news and that news on certain dates and spreading false news about such and such dates.

@1xol Sears Hometowns don't count. They are locally-owned franchises that close whenever the independent owner wants out. Apparently they're losing 100+ locations a year. We're just trying to keep up with the corporate Sears/Kmart closures here, and that's hard/confusing enough as it is,

Tell your boss at HE that we all already know that earnings comes out at 6:10 AM EST, so Sears is at the top of the news cycle. We already know some of the exact stores that are on the block this time . The cheerleading is really not going to do anyone any good at this point. The news is already there , list of around 70 on it's way.
Don't blame them for hinting at May 31, 2018 as being a bad day. Tomorrow will be a bad day for a lot of people employed by SHC. I heard approximately 50 Sears and 20 Kmarts will be notified they are closing in addition to several staffing reductions. Makes sense being the end of the month and just after Memorial Day sales.

Some might be sick like that on here but I cannot thank the posters enough who knew about the January layoffs and the change to coordinator positions. That round shook my store and I think it helped folks a little not be completely blindsided. SHC wanted it to be a complete shock.
This site leaked the news Weeks before Brand Central and Operations Manager positions were eliminated. This is not scaremongering it is informing people whose jobs are on the chopping block. It's better to let people know so they dont make financial decisions like signing a note on a car or house, even if it is not in the company's best interest.
