Senior Performance Tester

Preferred Qualifications

QA Analyst 3, Commerce Load you will also play an important role in ensuring feature and system performance, reliability and scalability. Lastly, you will be joining an engineering team that is working on challenging technical issues that support our Oracle Commerce Cloud offering.

Responsibilities include:

Develop project plans and schedules, track project progress using an Agile/Scrum methodology, and provide timely status reports to project stakeholders.

Setup, configure and monitor complex distributed virtual test environments; install, configure and tune application software and create/load large data volumes.

Collaborate with product management and development to specify product/feature performance/reliability requirements, and subsequently validate them.

Develop, enhance and execute real-world automated large-scale multi-user tests to assess feature or product performance, scalability and reliability.

Report bugs, work with developers to investigate and fix bugs, and verify bug fixes.

Develop system tuning and sizing guidance; write reports and give presentations on test results.

Requirements:

5+ years’ experience with performance testing covering: test script creation, debugging and validation; heavy multi-user load performance test execution.

Bachelors of Science (BS) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.

Strong team player, self-motivated, detail oriented and perform well under pressure.

Strong English communications skills, written and oral.

Experience with application testing using LoadRunner, JMeter, Oracle Load Test (OLT) or similar tool.

Experience with performance metrics collection, test results analysis and bottleneck identification/mitigation.

Linux or UNIX system administration experience.

Preferred (Desirable) Skills:

JMeter script development, test execution and analysis.

WLS administration, tuning.

JVM/GC tuning.

Core Java programming.

Java Flight Recorder (JFR)/Mission Control (JMC) analysis.

Distributed system bottleneck isolation.

Oracle VM Server, VM Server Manager Administration.

Jenkins job scripting/server administration.

Oracle WLS, OHS, OTD, Enterprise Manager Setup and Administration.

Oracle Database administration, SQL programming.

Experience with AppDynamics, Wily SiteScope, dynaTrace or similar tools.

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Responsible for developing, applying and maintaining quality standards for company products with adherence to both internal and external standards. Develops and executes software test plans. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures. Maintains documentation of test results. Analyzes test results and recommends corrective actions.

As a member of the technical/process QA division, you will develop quality standards, control methods and theories to be utilized during manufacturing, testing and inspection to access product quality. Develop standards and procedures to provide quality guidance methods.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
