Thread regarding Molina Healthcare Inc. layoffs

Summer Layoffs

Tomorrow is June 1st. I've heard from many people (within Molina and outside of Molina) BIG layoffs starting in June and continuing through the summer. Please share info as it comes in. Sounds like things are going to get crazy. Good luck everyone! Pray for our members.

I'm hearing that tomorrow, Thursday, June 21, is the big day. Hold onto your cups of kool-aid folks.

So someone with some business sense or previous experience... WHY are we hiring in OHIO? Work load is down. We did not win our auto assignments. I have yet to see us going after memberships even though Ami claims we are... anyone seen any initiative? A commercial A Molina sign. It doesn't feel good or well represented anymore. But, I bet ya they know who Buckeye is !

I was laid off after 10+ years of hard work. They chose people who they thought worked hard. Yes I was hurt but I took the hit and moved on. If you are here complaining, get over it and get out there and apply for better. I had to take a step down but it was the best thing for my family and my health. I am so much happier than I was....Molina is not what it used to be....

@TrAjBm3-6ctd Spelling errors aside, I agree with you. What does working for Molina for a short period of time and being sad about it, and then reconciling to God's will....what does that have to do with the reality facing all us long term people who are seeing are hard work go down the drain? God or no God, this ship is sinking and it's insulting to come here and post how you moved to Colorado and everything is hunky dory. Good for you. Who cares?

@TrAjBm3-6dqg So you worked at Molina for a matter of months (seven months if you count your internship)? And you're telling people that God has a plan? You better brace yourself for backlash to that post. People who have been at Molina for twenty plus years aren't likely to be relying on the idea that God has something instore for them, etc. They are upset that the company was run into the ground and that after years of hard work and pride in their jobs....poor leadership and a terrible political climate has taken their jobs. Four months of a job is nothing. Sorry but I'm not really sure what the point of your post even is. It's a pretty offensive post, so people like me who have been at Molina for years and years and are watching the company fall apart. Glad you're happy, but that really has nothing to do with anyone else, so it?

Tomorrow will be one year ago that Molina hired me on. It was my first entry level job after graduating college last May. I was laid off in September. I have struggled ever since to get another entry level job in such a competitive market. I took my severance pay and left the east coast to start a new life in Colorado. I have never been happier. I am still looking for work in my field, but moving away after my layoff was the best thing that happened to me. At times I do get sad that I lost my job. I loved the company when I started as an intern last February. I loved the members and what the company stood for. I would have had a year of experience by now but god had other plans for me. Wish the best to everyone still there, but even if things get worse there is always a light at the end of the tunnel.

1lkx - True, but the "all functional areas will be impacted" makes it seem significant. I think the initial, first "wave" was 10% and that amounted to a couple thousand people. What is the head count of Molina employees now? Maybe twenty thousand? Seven percent of 20,000 is still a lot of people who will be losing their jobs. It's gonna be a real eye opener for the people still at Molina, with their heads buried in the sand, thinking they can ride this out or that the new leadership is going to save the day. Poor fools. Drink up, buttercup. The Kook-Aid is sweet in the summertime.

Why so pissy? I would rather have a normal 30-60 day notice than a Joe White project nickel tap on the shoulder.... act like a real company and say who and when or if Molina is a lost cause!

@TrAjBm3-isq Ha ha ha!!! I like your style. I care about the members, but I also want to know WHEN my number is going to come up. I want to know it all!!! I am also annoyed with the requests for a "Lis".

Here's the list...it's a blow out sale....everyone must go. I vote, "Yes" to the HR Go Pro even just to see it all go down.

Pray for our members? I’m praying for a camera in HR so we can watch in real time who’s getting canned. Plus, people will stop asking over and over where this “list” is
