Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Is it 72 stores closing, or 100?

I've seen articles with both numbers. Has a number been determined yet? I have seen in the past sometimes articles from one source saying Sears is closing so many stores, only including those under the Sears banner, while others include Kmart in the total.

Could this mix-up mean the closings are 72 Sears stores, 28 Kmart stores?

SHLD has close about a third of all stores in the past year and they still wrote a -12 comp. The number of strong stores is so small that it doesn't matter. I'm so sorry if you work for SHLD, but this pig is getting roasted.

Don’t want to point out the obvious but where are the people that always say sears will be fine? Is this finally helping them wake up and see that the ride is over? Another quarter... another disappointment...

The articles I've seen were very specific: They identified 100 underperforming stores and plan to close 72 of them, to be announced any minute now. These are totals across Sears + Kmart.
