After reading countless posts, I have surmised that Oracle culture is not modeled for people who are driven by technology and innovation and the desire for excellence (Grade A). These good people are shown the door or leave on their own soon after they join.
Instead, Oracle culture is where Grade B thrives and Grade C survives.
I think that's why we are seeing so many layoffs. The company is trying hard to reinvent itself and it won't be possible unless they improve their peopIe, who in turn improve the products.
By the way, I am not passing judgement on anyone, it is just an observation. I consider myself Grade C (someone who does enough to survive in their role). I have been on the verge of layoffs twice and miraculously survived...
