Good riddance...if true....hope they also get rid of his favy VK .....
Seems your strong au hr man iatthe top is gone too.
Most probably an opportunity to get rid of some unwanted people
Desktop won’t go away. Strong connection to the top... it’s all about connections in this st*pid company.
Out in Australia first. Guess HR wants to show it's not protecting their countrymen.
Haha me Tarzan you sh--. I think I know the guy.
The global management probably wants to save their own asses. It doesn’t matter to them if they make such haphazard decisions. Better your heads than ours, they say...
Outsourcing has been tried before and it was a disaster. Response times were horrible and the communication problems a failure. Who is going to lose their job when this is a failure.
At least the laid off IT employees will not have a long flight home.
Desktop support will go after the new laptop deployment
What will happen with Desktop Support team? When they will be notified?
This is nothing new, their corporate model has always or at least the last 12/15 years is "Me Tarzan you Sh--" It's not going to change. Move on people!
Weatherford does not care about their employees. Management does not care about the workers they have that carry the company. You are treated like a piece of garbage when they are through with you.
Couldn’t have said it better myself. The I’s are everywhere in this company
Sounds like all IT is being outsourced. IBM and KPIT stepping in.
Give IT Management 6-12 months... They’ll be gone too unless they can pull some strings. I think they’re retained to smoothen the transition out.
Who is next ? country IT
Correction - Nobody cares about anyone beyond themselves at Weatherford.
This is why the company has inept management and it is more of a case of who you know rather than what you know or are able to accomplish. It is great for those that are fearful of being accountable for how they manage, just take your buddy out for a round of golf and pump up his ego - worse case is you will be sent to manage some other group and the clock starts again.
Just think what this company would do if management was held accountable or rather held themselves accountable? Think about it, when was the last time you were on any call or in any meeting when a manager raised their hand and said, "this one's on me, I screwed up, I missed the target." My guess is never, however when was the last time you saw them push the blame to another.
Learned quick out of college and working with good and bad teams, a good leader will rarely use the word "I" when things go right, they will thank the team for their efforts and hard work. However when things go wrong, that same manager will then pull out the "I" and say "I" did not provide the direction needed, "I" did not communicate well enough, "I" should have done more to assist you.
Nobody cares about ITs
