Just to check, by now we can safely say that layoffs for this week are done with and today will be just another regular, boring work day?
I'm assuming so since it's been quiet on the matter both here and at the office, but it doesn't hurt to double check (watch me regret these words in a few minutes.)
Now,Just wait for the End of Month layoffs. Even more changes and let's not forget about the IBM shift. Those numbers have not been met yet.
There will always be layoffs at Verizon. They usually do them at least twice a year. I worked there for almost 25 years and got RIFd in 2015. There have many more large RIFs since then. You can never stop worrying about getting laid off at Verizon - and now it's even worse....
How many employees were let go? My org was cut by 40. I just wasn't sure about the total. It was a melee for sure.
Its Friday. $hit doesn't go down on Friday. Leadership is on the back nine after ruining peoples lives yesterday.
But hey, layoffs will be back its only a matter of time in this $hithole company.
