I took the new formula and worked with three prior commission statements from one of my Solution Specialists. Her last three commission checks were as follows : 3,200, 3600, 2,800. Using the new formula and implementing her prior months sales this is what her pay out would have been on the new program: 3,200 new amount (2,375),3,600 new amount (2,750), 2,800 new amount (1,875.) So Verizon cant put lipstick on a pig on this one because facts are facts and using prior statements is 100% accurate. The bottom line is that the average check will drop 25%.

Reps have been informed already. Directors sent out emails yesterday to all reps
25% decrease in pay to match the 25% discount on accessories!
Commission plan changes have always and will always be designed to lower take home pay and require more selling. So now you’re enjoying 1800-2200 dollar commission checks yet if you go back 10 years ago 5-6k checks weren’t uncommon. Fast forward 10 years and reps do 10 times the workload and required to sell 10 times the devices and yet are getting paid less and less.
At what point does one says enough is enough?
These have to be management posts because reps have not been told yet, information in the next 30 days. Also, I say less than 1 percent of reps make 4 k a month now this VZW propaganda saying it's not that bad $48.000 a year in commissions, to $$36,000 a year, there is not enough volume in the stores for those numbers unless you're Sammy "sociopaths" Slammer!
unless you know what the phone only quota is and the sales dollar quota are there is no way to know what you will make , quotas will be lower and sales dollars way higher cause all stategic and tmpmd pay a heck of a lot different and quota only pertains to phones only basic or smart , you need what the quotas are to calculate anything from the past
I compared apples to apples with new formula and yes there is a drop of about 25% in pay. The figures dont lie. So yes if you are use to making 4k checks those will be about 3k now.
You must work in a market that hasn’t been in a trial. This is how it’s been for my district. Days of 3k checks gone. Top seller will earn 1800-2200 if they kill it. And that is with 150% sales dollars. Money is gone. It will take you 4 or 5 months to get over it. By then store prob be retailer anyway.
