Stores Closing?

What's happening to cvs in August 2018? I'm not an employee, I'm a customer, but while perusing a broker site looking at retail space for lease I saw my local cvs (in SoCal) available for lease August 2018. I was shocked, so I called the store and asked if they were closing because I shop there often and get my prescriptions there for many years. The employee had no idea at all, none. She was shocked and likely didn't believe me, but it's there in print that it will be available for lease in August 2018. Do they not give employees notice when a store is going out? I feel like taking the broker brochure and showing all of the employees at my local cvs.

Original Poster. Here's the latest on the CVS in Hacienda Heights, CA. I checked the broker listing and it is still listed as available for lease beginning August 1st; that's two weeks from now. I have noticed that I no longer see the usual employees working in the store whom I've seen for many years; less employees working the store no matter what time of day I go in (except in the pharmacy). Some bare shelves not restocked, but I wouldn't say a large portion just very small amount. Today I called the pharmacy to see if my prescription was ready, it's been on back order for 1-1/2 months - nope they still don't have it. I called across the street to Rite Aid and they have plenty. Very odd. Waiting to see if their doors are still open come August 1st; I'm thinking not but I could be wrong.

Leased or not leased. Many in litigation

Could be u uncovered something or could be for sale not lease . We lease a lot of our stores owner could be selling. I tried a search and a publix came up for lease and I know that's not correct

Where is this public list?

Random, right. Public list of over 300 stores ready to be chopped. Signs your store may no longer be are: No updates/remodel, old damaged fixtures, carpets not cleaned in years, "unable" replenish store supplies...employees at sup and lower are clueless just the way "they" want them.

Stores close, open, and move all the time. One random store closing doesn’t mean anything, just business as usual.
