Thread regarding JPMorgan Chase & Co. layoffs

The swamp

How to remained at J P. if you are part of the management swamp?

Here we go again one sport that all managers here play the most: The Game of reorganization, Whether triggered by a leadership transition, or a fundamental change in the business, which it is NOT the case, it is more driven by their poor leadership and performance than anything else, people tend to move around. In fact it’s highly unusual to find anyone in management able to answer questions and make sense at the same time.

The teams I interact with everyday hate to be reorganized. As Much like the lack of structure and clarity, structural changes provoke anxiety in all, we all know that the “new and improved” design will often have fewer chairs (i.e.,many jobs will be lost ), More problematic is the fact that a functional organizational that is currently underway at JP Morgan was partly determined by structure, and mostly driven by incompetence.

But while they engineer the reorganization they are buying Time for themselves, clever way to stay competitive isn't t? “Every time we reorganized, we lost at least a year of innovation.”, But again that is something the higher ups don't know anything about, let's keep the ruse going.

IN SUMMARY, JPMorgan Chase does not care about American jobs or American workers. This is a multi-trillion dollar company that has more than enough money to pay American workers, but chooses not to. They prefer outsourcing to Manila and using unnecessary automation, by hiring n 3rd party vendors to support process they do not know anything about, i

Employees with 10+ years experience are quitting left and right. Somehow this is not a wake up call to management. The employee survey was so bad in my department they decided not to talk about it like it never happened. The ship is sinking.

Many people are leaving on their own, they don't see a path to success in this bank anymore, I know of cases that after these accomplished professionals gave their 2 week notice, they were out the door the same day.

Unless a manager trusts themselves enough to trust the people they hire, they will never be a leader. They will only be equipped to manage through fear, because they don't know how to build trust.

the company can fire you at anytime without repercussions, but if you quit your job without giving notice, they threaten legal action, we all know from past experience that the company will not honor your two-week notice anyway
