well...people typically take on too much debt and dont manage their own finances efficiently enough.....thats the true problem...but no one likes to take responsibility for themselves so they blame their paycheck for not being high enough.....then they get a new job that pays more but requires more work, and then will complain about THAT next......
They know. They just don't care. Everyone will be replaced by people willing to work for minimum wage.
@jji
Wireless will be even more profitable once they get rid of the used car salesmen.
Happy employees = Happy customers. OP isn't always correct. Lowell, Tami, Ronan, Marc, Hans, Matt, David, Rimi, John and little Diego are all WAY over compensated ..... but all of them are likely the least productive staff on the payroll.
Skilless? SMFH. Always a mad wireline employee who hates their job and their co-workers with stupidshit to spew.
The WIRELESS..RETAIL side of Verizon is why they are still being talked about as profiting these last few quarters.
WIRELESS REPRESENTATIVES made that happen. Men Lie, Women Lie, Numbers don’t- Do your research. Forbes is a great place to start.
Verizon SHOULD pay wireless workers well.
Period.
management read the posts here and are changing course. we will give $20000 team commission to every new wireless customer. single line new customers that brings in $50 per month in revenue. this way we can declare bankruptcy in a month.
most verizon employees make 15% more than they are worth
@FJS And Lowell deserves to make Millions???? Lol... what a joke!
Paying a skilless retail clerk $60,000+ does not make business sense. You should have enjoyed the gravy train that ran for over 20 years and made a better life for yourself. But instead you probably blew all your cash on mustangs and child support.
Well said.
They do understand... What a better way of getting rid of employees than to change comp structure. Circuit City did the same before it’s ultimate, impending demise. Got rid of employees without the need for paying out severance and the negative publicity of laying off thousands of employees. All the high performers were out in 3-4 months.
Verizon was a prime benefactor of the the tax break, which will end up hosing the common folk in a few years. Imaging if they laid off thousands of retail employees after receiving this corporate tax break. They would be crucified in the court of public opinion.... Unless they do it slow and methodically, and not ‘rip off the band-aid’, drawing attention to itself. This is the ‘long-con’.
