Thread regarding Baker Hughes layoffs

Baker Petrolite Canada

What is going on with Baker Petrolite in Canada?? Dropping prices up to 20+% to retain business, going way below market value in places like Manitoba? COG are rising, and they are dropping their pants. Seems a strange way to put money to the bottom line, where my raise comes from!!!!! I work here, and cant figure out what we are doing. Can someone explain this to a dumb field hand?

Actually management is judged by the share price. A temporary bump in market share may give a short lived rise in stock price but will not last long. Nobody likes to invest in a losing company. Cash is king.

It's all about market share. So drop prices. Retain market share. Make no money. management is judged not on money made but how much of the market they have. Basically petrolite is in the business of being in business. Not in the business of making money.
