Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

FY19 T&C Acceptance - Resistance is NOT futile.

While Management is hammering the "Acceptance" request to the employee workforce, resistance is happening in EMEA. Why shall we jump towards FY19 conditions when FY18 gates have proven so challenging ?

Depending on your local laws you might resist the Acceptance "Request" from your manager and request explanations BEFORE signing in.

Unless you're satisfied with FY18, request those explanations, contact your employee representative, set up an employee representation and ask your success to be built with you not against !

What I don't understand, is why you even bother. Wouldn't it just be better to work somewhere else?

Why bother with Oracle's mess?

Let's play a little on this - You don't have to say YES SIR to all this acceptance bulls**t.

Our Presales group has decided NOT to accept FY19 T&C unless we got a very solid explaination onFY18.

Who's with us ?

This heavily depends on the country. In many European countries you can reject the plan and still get commissions. Upside is that, aside getting commissions, you demonstrate disagreement, which can lead to interesting legal actions later if company misbehave.

Also, complan in my country has been declared not legal in some of its aspects in my country.

Get informed and do not swallow sh-- happily!.

this is just useless. compensation is something you can accept or not, it's a private agreement between you and Oracle. the total amount of the comp is somewhat established, but the way comp is delivered is completely decided by Oracle.

if you do not accept, simply you get only the basic salary, with no compensation. it's up to you, Oracle has no legal restriction in the way they arrange the comp plan.

do I think comp plan starting from 2016 has been arranged in a way to aggressively cut cost and give the least possible money to people? YES

do I think you can do something? NO.

the only effective thing to do is just leave this f---ing rotted company.
