We will not be exiting this year.....end of story. We are not even close to getting out of DSD. Only Walmart is going with CAO currently. Kroger not even mentioned in our region as doing that. We have been told they do not want to go in that direction with us. Walmart we knew about cao 6 months before it went live. Nothing with Kroger so far.

When is our game over?

My DM acts like we're not going anywhere!

They've gone to great lengths to cover up if we are leaving DSD.

Very confused right now!?!?!?

Game over!

I can guarantee if nothing happens by September we will hear something in November or January or mybe March but definitely every 60-90days someone will post that that is the new date. Who cares until it happens. There is always another job. If I do get laid off I'm just hoping for a good enough severance to take 1 month off to drive all across country

People act as though it all up to Dirk? Wrong! The retailers have the last say so! I have no doubt they will leave dsd before the holidays, this will be one of the most competitive seasons of all so they will need to s--- every last drop of profit out they can! Nobody knows, everyone is sharing and guessing, my gut tells me September won’t be an announcement but instead an execution of the strategic plan.

Dirks strategy is a global one. DSD will free up several hundred million to invest in emerging markets where we are actually growing and turning a profit.

You people do realize that this was put in place by Irene don't you. It was here plan to close local warehouses and move to a convenient regional distribution network. Perfect for warehouse. Now it's Dirks choice to continue or go another direction. I personally don't see another option with consumer trends away from junk food and can no longer compete with prices. Nothing new here in to U.S. for us peasants.

If Dirk announcement comes in September we will definitely be here till 2019. No way they'll pull the plug on DSD during the Holiday's

Wrong! Dirk already knows, don’t be niave! He will announce mid September, they have known for years!

by

Post ID: @7rnq+Tz3NJ1M

Nothing is happening this year for sure.......they definitely would of let us know by now. Dirk has said he would have a strategy by September. So even if he announces anything it wont start until then with a 2019 exit.

Won't happen this year! They would have told us by now. Probably still waiting for CAO to work.

Why don’t they get stuff from the 3rdparty suppliers? Because they choose not to! Different margins! They could if they wanted to!

Post ID: @5qkd+Tz3NJ1M

60 days as required by law, we won’t get any additional notice!

Plenty of time to exit in 2018!

by

Post ID: @5mpj+Tz3NJ1M

Then why dont these stores use a 3rd party supplier to get the kebler product customers are asking for?

Its because there isn't one that does that, the same way if we stopped dsd tomorrow like you said there isn't a 3rd party supplier that brings in nabisco

Post ID: @5usm+Tz3NJ1M

Oh my! There are some real uneducated people on here! Yes, all independents get their product from a third party supplier, unless it’s dsd. There are a number of them. Where do you think all the grocery items in the independent stores come from?

If dsd ended tomorrow they could use a third party supplier to order product tomorrow night, just that quick!

Excatly! DSD is strong! It's just CAO. We're still merchandising and tweaking orders. Independents don't have warehouses to supply Nabisco. DSD is a powerful source Dirk said. Nabisco has double downed on DSD. Walmart and Kroger won't scare us off! One team one dream!! Nice shirt we got in the mail. They're so good to us 👍

We will be in DSD for a while more even if Walmart and Kroger go warehouse. Most grocery stores dont own there own warehouses like them they go through company that handles multiple chains and takes a cut loseing more margins for the store and none of them have even started the process yet

Has any one herd of any stores besides those 2 talking CAO or anything

In other chains where kebler has a limited set due to the cost of space in warehouses has lead to them losing a 1/3 of there space to TATEs. TATEs is currently useing a vendor to bring there proudut in on private trucks to capitalize on them not being able to have enough skus in there warehouse to fill more then an 8ft set

Walmart and Kroger while big there not the end all and say all of every one. Even if they go no one else is going anytime soon

We aren’t going out of business, programming will still be there. May even get more aggressive! What should your DM say,”sorry people, no more selling”? Especially when they are trying to maintain the status quo. Believe what you will, I’ll do the same. Good luck with your thinking!

Kroger and WM don’t care about how much money Mondelez makes, you don’t seem to get it! They care about how much they make, and they will make more if they eliminate dsd!! Take away one more layer. Yes they can handle it, no there are not too many sku’s, yes they have ample supply space, etc etc.. They can utilize CAO for ordering, have their grocery clerks stock it for $7 an hour, no company cars, benefits, and get a slotting fee in top of that. All about profitability folks, everyone is out to make $, and the most they can!! More money to be had without the middle man!! Basic business! It’ll happen as soon as the retailers tell us it’s gonna happen! Our warehouses are already in place, just tweeking out the bugs.

We're not going away from DSD. We have too many SKU's and we're too big. Grocery warehouses don't have room for us. No layoffs.

This is just to clarify DSD, not a statement about us

distributors/wholesalers are considered DSD in a 3 teir system. If a company pays a middleman to deliver and maintain there

product it's not a warehouse item.

Just clarify if someone says something is DSD it does not need to directly come from the company start to finish to be considered that.

Who merchandises confections may vary by store, but how it goers there does not. At least as far as Mondelez is concerned. For Mondelez confections is a warehouse item, it is not dsd. Some accounts may pull from heir own warehouse and smaller accounts may pull from a third party supplier, which they probably use for all their supplies.

Mondelez isn’t in a position to revolutionize dsd, not when we are struggling to turn numbers around, dsd is ending, this is the direction of the retailers who want the margins back!! They too are in it to make money!

Sounds like one of the smaller chains may be a great place to drop your resume when things start to unravel!! I’d be surprised if we make it out of 2018!

In the middle of the country big super chains have taken over and have ruined the grocery business employees are mistreated and miserable. I love my chains that are locally owned with under a 100 store people are happy and treated good. We have programming there and I can sell in stuff no mandatory displays. If there is a good deal the store buys ins and holds the price because the grocery manager actually cares about sales and doesn't have a playbook he has to follow
