To all the people not laid off with the 59 day layoff: expect to be laid off when the 59 day guys return. Go see your doctor when you get back from layoff and go off on stress leave. You get the summer off and the guys that have their turn with a 59 day layoff will be called back to work. That’s a win win. Then when you return work in the fall they will lay you off because they will fear a repeat. That’s the only way to get a package. The 59 days is just WTF being cheap, so give them some of their own medicine.

It’s forced attrition. Rather than laying off and paying severance they alternately lay off people in 59 day cycles with the hopes they get frustrated and find other jobs, thus avoiding payment of severance. The only answer is to unionize!

way too much nepotism..... if you are related and good golfing buddies then you have job for life, it doesn’t matter how horrible at the job. i know a guy who is a supervisor, he broke every company rule there is and still has a job. He sleeps at work, half the time on his shift he is no present at the job site , i mean few hours at a time checking out what toy he needs to buy like atv or bike while on company time. He gets all the overtime and half the time he is stuck in bosses office talking about golf or hunting trip. He bullies all his workers on his shift. If he doesn’t like you, he will try to get you fired. doesn’t follow any company rules but still has a job ... his attitude s---s, no people skills, horrible personality. now that’s one weatherford
