Thread regarding Weatherford International Ltd. layoffs

GE - Baker - Weatherford

So, what are the odds that we see come sort of combining of product lines from the GE announcement of shedding Baker and the need for Weatherford to sell Business Units to manage their debt?

Seems like the timeframe (2-3years) would be workable as WFT should be able to keep their heads just above water long enough with promises and if they kick some of their board members to the curb the street would likely applaud the move and buy them some time.

Baker would surly get the short end of it but it would be a great win for the current employees of WFT that might find a new home with any combined company that would be of a size to compete with the likes of Schlumberger and Halliburton.

What do you say?

Yes. Weatherford to turn around BHGE. Investors will be clamoring for that stock. After all, with BHGE's assets and Weatherford's proven track record, what could possibly go wrong?

Sounds like we need to get Maury Povich in here and find out who the father of those kids is.

hmmm, here’s an anogoly... there’s this single middle aged woman, she used to be really hot fifteen years ago, now she has ten kids, no money, way behind on her bills. Only a couple of the kids show any promise, but they are going to live with their fathers. The rest sit at how eating Doritos and playing XBox. Are you going to want to marry this woman?

Why would anyone buy baker. They’ve been an absolute disaster for Ge because of bad management and under performance. All the experience has gone. Those who are still there are the numb nuts of the oil industry.
