This is true 2/5/2019 @ 3:00 p.m.. PTC's were informed positions have been eliminated, they have till March 29 to secure a position or leave the company. Sad day at Sam's club. Most PTC's are the heart of the club's.

I am a Personnel Manager and I love my job. I teach and train the associates how to use the wire and assist them with whatever they need. I work with a great team. In the midst of chaos, disgruntled associates, I still work hard to turn any negatives into positives. I am a 29 year associate.

In my store we still have a TC and PC. They both mostly run errands for the store manager and assistants. On the clock mind you. They go get lunch for the mgmt team every day. They also do shopping for baby showers the store manager throws for her favorites. They have been told their job is changing and going part time in the near future. They are both original associates and have been in this store since it opened 26 yrs. ago. I've also been with this store 26 yrs and know them both very well. They are both very discouraged with what the job has become. They used to be there for associates to help in whatever way they can. Now they are gophers for mngmnt and told to tell associates to look up whatever they need on the wire.

Ours clocks in and then eats her breakfast. Stealing time? Also if anyone needs help all she can tell them is to look it up on the wire. Not very helpful at all.

If the Personell Manager, Kim H. in southeast Decatur, Il. is a realistic example of the rest of Walmart's HR store leadership, they can ALL go b'bye. Her job consists mostly of drinking coffee, joking with the managers and scrolling her phone all day....punctuated by occasionally hanging stupid decorations in the employee breakroom.

Yeeeeah, that won't be too drastic a loss :)
