I'm at a div 1 store in central cali. Our DMs have been told there are changes coming. Depts are being combined. Dpt 2 and 46 will combine and have 1 DM instead of 2. All domestics and furniture will combine and have 1 DM instead of 2. Pets and chemicals/paper goods will combine and go back to 1 DM. It was that way several years ago. We are getting a remodel in August and getting the new robots. The changes will start after that is complete. They have already started downsizing overnight stockers. When someone leaves they are not replacing them. Cap 1 and 2 will do picks and work freight. Only floor cleaning crew will be overnights. If you see the new robots in your store, change is coming soon. Also Pickup DM is being eliminated in the near future. Not all stores are doing same thing, but changes are coming to all stores.
