Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Never got an answer

Why do people who don't work at Intel care so much and obsess over the company?

PIS’D - post Intel stress disorder is the reason the old timers lurk here. We grew up thinking Intel is changing the world (it did, in the 80s, 90s), that there was no comparing Intel’s technology might (up until 14nm, yes), and that toiling night and day was worth it (was it ?)....but the last few years that façade has faded and exposed an ugly face, like the picture of Dorian Gray.

@1jby - "OP, you come off as desperate."

No, OP comes off as a smart-a$$ troll here to bait naive forum readers to post replies in order to disparage them in the most assinine way possible. The arrogance, hubris, lack of empathy and complete disregard for others' opinions, however valid they may be, reek of Intel management. You criticize Qualcomm employees for being arrogant a--holes, yet are worse than them treating everyone else as mentally retarded. YOU are the perfect example of what Intel has become these days, an arrogant company, out of touch with its own employees, customers and the market in general. If you want to understand why former employees come here, you would need to gather some empathy (which I doubt you are capable of) to be able to stand in their shoes and see that the company they once respected, and yes, loved, became such a cesspool of arrogance, near-sightedness and "race to the bottom" mentality. If you have been at Intel for any longer than 7-8 years, you would understand what I am talking about. If not, then please KINDLY SHUT YOUR PIEHOLE.

@1oxe „Because shareholders do visit this board and chime in.„

What?!? Where?!? Are you mentally retarded? This board has less than zero significance to shareholders. If they knew about this board (which they don’t), they knew quite well that most of the nonsense here is made up out of thin air. How many closures of specific sites have been announced here already that never happened, just to cite one example? The most popular threads here get less than a thousand views - and those are not unique views. So there are perhaps around a hundred people reading this board and certainly not more than 20 people posting here. You really think that kind of board could have any significance to a major shareholder? F---, please tell me you don‘t work at Intel anymore.

Same question to the people who think that Intel HR and PR post here. You think they went „Ooooh, there is some board with less than a hundred visitors per week. We REALLY need to spend money on influencing them!“

And as you are f---ing retards, you have probably not even realized yet that there are view counts for each thread on this board. Otherwise you‘d have realized how insignificant this madhouse is.

@1gwc How do you verify here that you left a mess? 90% of the people here are no longer at Intel, got kicked out three years ago and are still sore over it (you can recognize them easily - they are the ones who refer to everyone who disagrees with them as „Intel HR“). Another 8% are Qualcomm employees (you can recognize them because there are fewer of them when some bigger sh-- is going down at Q, and they always come out of the woodworks when there‘s some article with half-truths about Intel, such as the recent one about Intel‘s supposed 5G failur - oh, and they are generally a--holes, as that is a Qualcomm hiring requirement). The remaining 2% are still at Intel, and trust me, this board does not represent in any way what Intel is like nowadays internally. I am not saying that it is better or worse. Just completely different. This board could just as well be about a different company that the employees chose to call „Intel“.

Why are you here OP? Give a solid answer. All you do is try to be a smart-a-- to people who have replied. Are you here to let out your frustration lol?

Honestly, even though many of us still work at Intel, primarily for our families, we have mentally checked out a long while ago. It has been a long time ever since I had a meaningful positive conversation with anyone in the company. Just carrying the dictates of toxic managers one day at a time.

Ha ha..Try asking engineers at intel (who are there for more than 7yrs) - "Why you are still here?"

  • You'll get more funny answers.

SO, getting back to OP's question; I am here at this portal as it helps verify that I really left a MESS.

I dont have to elaborate on this, as most ppl now know that the 'toxic culture' that there were in ; is actually pervasive all over this company.

I'm here because I enjoy watching Intel's PR and HR "resources" squirm as Intel slowly implodes. I'm surprised that anyone asked the question.

Because shareholders do visit this board and chime in. You'll also hear more truth about the company on this board, not by the lying executive management and their buddies in the press.

Because Intel was once my “family”. And when you see that family falling apart - hiring the wrong people without good characteristics, retaining those who display bad characteristics, changing a culture of one of a solid platform of trust to that of distrust, shifting from a GPTW (desirable place to work) to a horrible (avoid) place to work, putting focus on individual vs. team player based results it’s hard to “care”. If you have ever had a strong relationship with a family member only to later wat j their choices destroy theirs and others lives, you might understand why it is hard to walk away and not look back or no longer care.

I think this board should force users to register for an account for posting. That way, trolls would have to go through the inconvenience every single time to create new accounts.

What do you think, owner?
