Page up Data Breach

What is the email going around about a data breach? What is Page Up Australia? It says that anyone who applied online for employment could have had their data stolen ie. name, address, date of birth, etc.

But they don't offer any type of identity theft protection like other businesses who have had breaches.

Does this mean that nothing was stolen or that it was stolen and you are on you own to monitor your credit, i.d. and personal information?

It must have been in the U.S. also because some people at my store got the same email.

PageUp: HR Software for Better Talent Management

That company should be the ones paying for ID protection if their software was breached.

I haven't found any information about the US Sears/Kmart using them, but the separate (and much more successful) Australian Kmart (owned by Wesfarmers) does.

SHC can't afford to offer ID theft protection. They're as broke as a joke. It will take the coercion of a lawsuit, probably class-action, to get any semblance of redress. Even if SHC was flush with cash, do you think Eddie would be at all concerned?
