New teams announced today. Are you happy with your new team, manager and product? It took so long to finally announce, that several of us are in final rounds of interviews. If I stay, at least I don’t have the same manager. He was drama!

Obviously oracle is in left field on GDPR compliance & domestic US security implications too. Easter Europe is on the no no list for GDPR.

Oracle is no where near being GDPR compliant as a data processor. Of course, oracle isn’t really a cloud company .

@ U6I0Dsc-8vvg good plan but with one minor change. Don’t wait. The job market is hot for candidates and employers are struggling to get good candidates. It’s trult a candidate market right not. But this will change based on the economy and poor decisions happening on the Hill and White House. If you follow economy analysts things will take a turn around end of this year. Which will be the worst time to look for a job as companies will be nervous to hire and send us into a bit of a recession and higher unemployment rates which haven’t been seen for over 10 years.

So getting more clarity,

Hub ppl are on a big hit list end of year as they move to romania , so US ppl can't really compete on price vs cheap east eu folks. Thus your best bet is take the test and join the adv services.

else you will be gone dec

I am going to see if I can move within Oracle else I am moving out. No need to stress and lose time ,

If things go well and they sell services adv services will be a hit with CB and H, not sure I have seen Oracle turn ard in the 5 yrs I have been here, I give it till Oct, no sales ... im putting on my running shoes

: @U6I0Dsc-7kqe - were you laid off? Re: your post, is this what you received for your severance ?

What pillar are you in? What country? How many were laid off besides you? We are trying to keep a count. Help if you can.

(Sorry this happened to you, you will find a better place.)

Oracle is crap, 2 weeks for year 1 and 1 week for every year after....it isn't going to make anyone rich.

When customers have cloud thrown in on a deal, they never intend to renew. If you let them take support revenue they can't retire easily and give them an out by buying cloud, they are going to take it and not renew. Can't blame the CSMs for this.

@U6I0Dsc-3bms

Or stick around and do nothing for 6 months and collect severance. Start looking around late Oct/Nov timeframe so you have a job when they let you go. Some people might even be able to work 2 job.

Isn't "platinum" the equivalent of free everywhere else? The world of Trump has invaded the naming of Oracle business solutions, should we be surprised? If you aren't on the "platinum" team, I would be looking for a job.

Rumor is the free services will be offshored to Romania this time next year. So if advanced pay service actually sells then you will want to move there to secure your job onshore.

@U6I0Dsc-3bms

Your post hardly makes sense. If you are in advanced services, leave platinum services and goto advanced? Advanced services is not platinum and vice versa. Are you trying to say they will lay off the advanced services (level 1-3 assigned CSM’s) or the platinum services (pooled) CSM’s?

Rumor is that a lot of Oracle management is interviewing.... it's just that no one wants to hire them. Oracle's reputation precedes them.

Someone very close to RB said that he is not very doing well in his new larger role. He is overwhelmed and can’t get anything done. Bottom line is RB trusts the wrong people and it will be problematic for him and those around him

@U6I0Dsc-6dxj Where did rumor come from about RB interviewing? I don’t think the Platinum team could get any better news than RB leaving, honestly. He is toxic for our CSM teams and managers. Managers are talking openly about how poor of a leader RB is. It’s pretty obvious at this point what people think of him. Can only hope this rumor of him interviewing is true. Maybe that’s why it’s taking so long to roll out very basic organizational things.

Rumor is RB is interviewing. Hence why he has been so distant and out of the office quite a bit. He seems to be unhappy and hates when he needs to travel. He often says he needs to get his wife’s permission as she is the breadwinner in the family. To answer your question he is CB “yes man”. Do as I am told by CB. He lacks any strategic acumen and cannot give the HUB a real sense of vision and meaning.

Some good insight below @U6I0Dsc-5ooa. OMC was in some serious trouble financially and then CB/RB took over all of North America to run that into the ground too? It would help if someone can explain to me the value RB brings to a team. Or is it just “do as CB says” kind of lead? CB is busy on stage and at different conferences maybe she does not have time to see that that RB is ruining his 200-person org by creating the mess he has. What’s the deal with the secondary list? And who can be expect to be elimated? Is it the hub people or field/strategic people on there?

The pay for CSM model is MH's idea. He cannot stand the cost of the CSM org, especially with the terrible renewal rates which in most cases are tied to bad sales bevavior (can you say "no planned renewal" of the cloud version of an installed on-prem solution and Sales reps receiving 3X on "Cloud" deals) and Oracle being terrible to do business with (which is killing Eloqua and Responsys). CB sold her soul for the stage, camera and RSUs while RB will just do what he is told (his relationships are all transactional). The Oracle Marketing Cloud is an unfortunate train wreck, and CB should be held accountable.

I hear rumors that there will be layoff in NA CSM once they build the offshore team.

If you a CSM in NA advance services , leave the platinum and move to Advance services , pass the test , else you on the rif list.

I am hearing Dec end is when the rif will happen ard 40 to 50 % of the CSM population around 90-100

Time to find a new job you still have 6 months ..

The NA CSM org led by CB and RB is corrupt, sadly. They are horrendous leaders and have chosen some terrible people to give opportunities to. The hardest workers are left suffering while those who kiss a-- are handed special roles. I guess stupid is as stupid does.

In Advanced Services org there is a secondary list. The CSMs and Managers on this list are those who will be let go first if or when the new offering does not live up to the forecast. They staffed this team with a mix of staff that would be ok if they were let go. Almost 50% are on the secondary list.

Be patient in six to nine months they will have to change everything again to prepare for the next fiscal year. This will be a small blip on the radar. Management will take the fall and in due time you will have new leaders. 101 History of Oracle.

Our competitors are laughing at the pay for csm model. The companies who offer it have a stable system to justify the offering. Oracle does not and a majority of the customers will refuse to pay.

I stayed in Platinum because the Advanced Services is all hypothetical. Very few will actually want to buy a CSM which they are used to getting for free

None of the managers are that bad in the Hubs that I’m aware of. The problems can be attributed to CB and her direct reports. RB is straight toxic to any org, JB is an absolute joke/clown and the entire ops org isn’t collaborative or forthcoming at all. I’m not sure about the other ones AS or whoever else CB hired. I’ve heard people say many times “it’s their way or the highway”. What a way to “lead”. MH/CR, you’ve made a grave mistake and need to fire these fools.
