Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

CDG in Munich

Could someone throw light ont he Communication and Devices group in Munich regarding the work culture , product lines and longeivity of the group ? Also help with the salary one can expect for 7 years of relavant experience in IC Design.

Glassdoors would provide you compensation related info. Infineon obviously has a better work culture and a respectful way of treating its employees. Intels pay is slightly better than the average, if you are comfortable with yearly reorgs & groups shutting down its an option. IC design skillset is limited on India, but more in China not to the level of Germany. However, Intel has a history of shuttingdown sites with talent and messing deliveries with low talent..over the past 3 years ...

Infineon is the better employer, and it is just across the Campus. If you insist on Intel, then expect to meet many oversee employees, some with dubious qualifications and work methods.

CDG in Germany is slowly dying. More and more stuff is moved to India and the US, and it is only a matter of time until the expensive Munich site is closed.
