We aren’t idiots, most of us are intelligent enough to pick out the bs. I don’t believe for a minute that ALL of them are pot stirrers.

Do you people really think a receiving clerk is making all those stupid posts? Pretty sure it's just some loser troller trying to stir $hit up. But hey, ya'll are eating it right up.

As a clerk, I would never do an audit. That is so beneath me.

here is the perspective of the clerks. In our club and I believe most clubs the clerk has been in their position for many years. Over the course of those years the clubs managers have depended heavily on the clerk to fix ALL non personnel issues ( obviously that is what the PTC has done) . Any and every thing related to merchandise , fixtures and building maintenance has fallen into the hands of the clerk to resolve and or schedule repairmen for. Yes a managers signature or head nod has been required for a lot of the things the clerk has been responsible for but it has been the clerk with the tenacious know how to actually get the things done. Forklift maintenance , meat room and maintenance supplies have been part of the clerk's responsibility. In short any clubs stuff a manager has been supposed to do has fallen to the clerk if it has needed know how and or actual work to complete.

Along comes seemingly viable rumors that the clerk was going to disposed of the corporation and suddenly club management across the company has treated the clerks as if they were invisible or just dust on a shelf. The communication with the clerks has nearly ceased.

It is one thing for the company to make very stupid decisions and to cold shoulder the clerks but the managers , many of whom have known the clerks for years and in many cases were friends of them suddenly enforce have begun to act as though the clerks were aliens and not to be trusted and not to be talked to. That kind of about face hurts not only on a professional level but on a personal one as well. To be depended upon and pressured to resolve all the club's problems for years on end and then to be treated like a cancer over night is like having ice water dumped on you unexpectedly.

Granted there are some clerks with bad attitudes but most feel, and rightfully so , betrayed by the company, and worse , by people who acted like friends for many years.

Those of you being negative about the clerks largely are only doing so because you are riding high and feeling secure because some manager is patting you on he head. When that pat on the head turns to a slap in the face ( which it ALWAYS does ) you too will have tear filled eyes as you pout about ALL that work and commitment over the past 2 or 3 years.............hahahaha

To 1fiu, how do you know it was even a clerk that posted anything? What comment are you referencing?

Just ignore the idiot that is just trying to stir things up abs can't spell. Obviously, the only enjoyment they get out of life is raging on others. What a loser.

Very hard to respect the clerks on here if you read through these posts. Just saying. They too need to learn that if you are a decent human people will show you respect, not if you just shout how much better you are than everyone!

I think what was meant by respect for the individual is communication. Associates, TL’s and management do communicate in the club I’m in. Sitting in an office for 6 hours? Who does that?

Not even management does that from where I’m from. Our clerk is mostly on the dock breaking down pallet after pallet of mixed pallets. Sometimes helps in the bakery or claims. And it’s all handled with respect. You will only receive as much respect as you give. Try it sometime. It really does work. 😃

There are associates from all over the clubs doing these audits that the leads are SUPPOSED to be doing. Most, but not all of them are ex-Audit Team associates. The clubs are just using them because it’s easier due to them having more experience than the leads. A MSS at one club, a Tobacco associate at another, a Bakery associate at another, a Member Service desk associate a yet another and so on and so on and so on. Definitely not the direction nor is it leading by example. It’s yet another embarrassment and failure upon the management in those clubs to properly execute direction. Leadership or shall we say lack of leadership such as this is just unacceptable.

So, by respecting the individual you mean they allow you to sit and do nothing for 6 hours a day after your work is done? Respect yourself and earn your wages!

Receiving clerks doing audits? There is a reason TL’s have that title. Receiving clerks are not TL’s.
