Intel management should reprimand and/or fire all those employees standing around the water-cooler for hours at a time, dimply specualting about the CEO, and bouncing ideas off each other how they may avoid the next layoff. Employees always looking over their shoulders because mgmt will never tell them the truth. They just want to hide from view to try and escape their eventually fate, all the while being completely unproductive. Time to shutdown the H1B program.

One this is certain, the next CEO will make or break the company. Intel might have been a one trick pony, but at this point the pony has been starved and beaten and also the pony’s performance is in question instead of the bad riders. Now some of you think selling the pony is the answer and somehow all the bad riders gonna make money alone 😂😂😂.

DB? CEO? The BoD would have to be on drugs to select this dumb broad as CEO. That would certainly be the end of Intel, not the rebirth.

what alternative do they have?

I really don't think it's DB. The BOD can't actually be that dumb.

Can they?

@wuh - HAH! Such trash. My favorite part was his last sentence: "Being a sports aficionado myself, I am always excited to see Intel’s 360 degree cameras on action replays during the NBA games as well as the La Liga and I can’t wait for Intel to showcase their might in Immersive Media!"

Remind me, but throughout the NBA playoffs and Finals, did we see the 360 cameras? Anywhere? It's possible I took a bio break and missed it, but I don't think so.

DB is such a fraud. Barely enough intelligence to fill a thimble. All BS.

Surprising that employees aren't vehemently protesting this proposed appointment. This woman was virtually given the keys to the kingdom, sky's the limit circumstance with data center and utterly failed to match growth rate of competition! How can the BoD seriously consider this loser?!?!?

If true, than just another pathetic decision by BoD. Here's another person who does not have the experience nor "know-how" to run a company. Just all fluff and pretty PPT presentations designed by her staff. She just needs to read teleprompters and look good. How sad is that!

@azr- you are full of sh!t as usual and the only blown on this board.

@azr - The tea leaves certainly point in that direction, but I'll wait til the announcement. For all we know, DB simply had another odd LOA like she did at Intel - her path is not without some personal issues.

Guys, this is not a premise. It's a done deal. DB worked to undermine Klown since long before he was kicked out by the BoD. Why else would you think DB quit Google just a few days after klown's sacking? Because she knows she's already Intel CEO. The announcement is just a formality.

If this premise proves to be true, then the BOD did NOT do a thorough exec search. DB has no original thought - she will be the final nail in the coffin.

The layoffs would be the only "positive" result for the company coming from this appointment, if indeed true.

Wonder if BoD has even bothered vetting her background. Seems like she rose through ranks unusually quickly in early career. Makes one wonder what transactions were occurring. What quid pro quo deals were being made. Just a pretty face that someone took interest in? Human nature. Still has the hairstyle very popular in the mid-eighties. Another not good for the future of this company. Could not shine Andy Grove's shoes.
