After they starting calling out people last friday for tmp md conversions (out of 30 days), my district went from lik 130% tmp down to 80% in the span of two days. Now just watch them b--ch about tmp being too low. If too high you are in trouble, if too low you are in trouble. Use the tools you are given you are in trouble, make a paycheck above expectation, you are in trouble. WTF is wrong with this company.

Lets not pretend. People having been slamming to a point, though most of it comes from people converting 3 tmps to tmp md without a qualifying event. Stupid system generates this as brand new tmpsneven though the customers already had tmp.

Now i know for a fact that pretty much this covertion thing is on mass scale at national level. We had a meeting about it in my store and we stopped doing it immediately. I’m sure some people still carry on. But i honestly doubt they gonna turn around and fire over half of the retail channel overnight. If they dont want conversions to be done they shoulsnt have done it payable anyways. Most of the time it saves customer money which is why i suspect they are freaking out. This new comp system is a mess and anyone with half a brain could have seen this tmp mess coming. They went with it regardless. I can count with my hands the number of people in my district that havent done a 3 tmp to tmpmd without a qualifying event. Hell they have been doing it way before this new comp started. Is just that only now aticks out like a sore thumb.

Word is that you.can only add TMPMD, during a qualified event. Ie upgrade or such. The company is definitely looking into it to try to figure out why TMP is doing so well. Trying to figure out if people are slamming or it's just because it's such a huge monetary benefit now. That well will dry up soon and the only MDs you will get will be new accounts. I know 100% they are investigating this from the higher ups. Just make sure that you are using full disclosure and you will be fine. Also no idea why they made TMP worth more than selling a connected device. How on Earth did the shareholders apporove this commission structure? Sure we are pushing phone growth but when I can sell a set of headphones that are worth more sales dollars then a connected device or HUM, why would I even try for those things. Also when I can renew a tablet, JP or home phone why would I even try to add on and grow that account.. Bottom line this new structure is so freaking stupid and easy to game. Managers still be talking about pull thru pull thru, pull thru doesn't even matter any more, there are so many other outlets to get sales dollars why would I care about a $50 watch or connected device.

Corporate stores as well as indirect and telesales targets are set very high TMP, accessories etc. They set them high and turn their heads on the techniques used to sell all of these add one. Do the add on have value, yes they do. However, 50%-60% of the insurance is slammed and accessories are bundled in a one price offer to confuse the customer. Beware of indirect agenst. They are worse. They will charge you setup charges from $20 to $100 depending on your alertness. Wireless has been such keep dry. Desperation creating bad tatics for the consumer

I’m being targeted by management for refusing to do shady tactics on customers and I’m prepared to make them fire me. I will be fine if they do, and probably happier. I will enjoy watching this sh-- show ensue and Verizon being mentioned in the same breath as Wells Fargo. The whole wireless retail sales side of the company is a complete farce. The fact they promote people as clueless and unethical as my managers is laughable.

We were told by management yesterday that we can’t put tmp md on an account without Doing an upgrade or new line. If you see three $13 tmps oh account, only way you can do tmp md is by doing a transaction . This is just an education gap imo but where there’s smoke.... there’s fire

No one is being terminated. At best they are being told dont do it, at worst they are being told dont get caught. Leadership was the first one on board of the tmp train. No District goes from 60-70% tmp to 120% overnight because "integrity". Now there is a subset of reps slamming accounts (opposite to migrating) which is what is drawing attention to this. No customer is calling and escalating about saving 13-40 bucks on their bill, but you can get they will raise hell about an extra $40 bucks in their bill.

"Try being like the landline side of the house. Maintain your integrity despite what evil forces may be pressuring you to do otherwise."

Like in the 2012 landline bill cramming settlement? 2014 MD FiOS settlement etc?

Ofcourse slamming will get you in the sh-- list. You cannot be raising people bills like that for no f---ing reason. You wither keep it the same or save money.

Wells Fargo ring a bell?

Just takes a few complaints and social media to catch on to this deception. Once it does then class action law suits will follow. Reps being fired because pressure to add this to accounts. You can ask and ask and sell benefits but sometimes people don’t want it. You can’t make them take it. If you sell with integrity and do your part you shouldnt feel like you going to get fired.

How many customers been paying for this without knowing.

That was not my read on it

I think the person was hoping the Union would stop the pressure from an unethical person, if you were being directed to do something that you knew was questionable.

@1mqr- Are you saying that if a union were in place that the union would standup and support people that are performing questionable and unethical acts?

This is bull crap and a lie. No reps have been fired over slamming TMPMD.....some have been advised to discontinue slamming but continue to do what’s right for the customer. One rep was questioned by a DM how he was able to add so many md’s and his response was “I would like to speak to my union steward.”...the DM said “you are not even in a union”..”rep said well maybe we should be.”

Believe me, I understand what it’s like to be young and impressionanble. Resist the temptation to do wrong for short-sighted, temporary gain, no matter what your “superiors” are allegedly directing you you to do. If something is amiss, if you’re operating dishonestly, and stealing hard-earned money from customers via your dishonesty, for personal gain, you’re no better than a mugger on the street. Actually, you’re far worse. You put up the pretense that you were on the up and up, under the trusted cover of our brand name and reputation. It’s pukes like you, and your cheating, criminal mentality, that tarnish our good brand name.

Try being like the landline side of the house. Maintain your integrity despite what evil forces may be pressuring you to do otherwise.

Have a conscience for God’s sake.

The way some of you, the minority I hope, is like a criminal enterprise devoid of any decency or conscience.

I wish you were a different company because of you few because, as a result of your screwing the customer for years, your

reputation has sullied the entire company and I’m ashamed to be associated with you cheating, lying pricks.

Your chicanery has made it damn near impossible for any one to take us at our word.

Thanks for tarnishing thd landlne with your disreputable reputation.

That is what happens when Verizon puts an incentive for TMP. I had a rep who also slammed a business account with TMP and now the rep is under investigation.

Reps in my store are going thru previous months of commission converting accounts without even speaking to the customers. Some are doing 10 a day. This will not end well.....

Did he slam the account or did he convert an account that was already paying for TMP on multiple lines to either save them money or keep the bill the same? (Yes I do know you are not supposed to convert accounts unless a phone was purchased within 30 days)
