This new runner thing is stupid members hate it and cashiers are quitting left and right....

We are losing members because of all the stupid things Sam's Clubs are doing. People are going else where to shop. Understaffed, long lines, self checkouts. Members have had enough of the monthly changes! It's no longer about the Member
It has slowed checkout a lot. It works well at Costco, but they have fast cashiers and fast runners. They also have floating runners all the time that double up on some registers. They have supervisors that pitch in as runners. They also just plain have more registers open fully staffed. Lots of times they have two runners at a register, one unloading, one loading. At Sam’s on the other hand, no one is trained to be a runner, the runners tend to be slow and there aren’t enough of them to have one unload and one load. Now that there are fewer cashier registers you’d think they’d be better staffed but no. Levels all the time. If the cashiers don’t have levels, they get sent to softlines, bakery or just get sent home.
Opposite in our club we constantly going to floor every night.
It's terrible at our club, levels every 5 minutes and not enough cashiers to man the registers...constantly leaning on floor help to get the job done.....absolute nightmare. We're "running" alright!!
Once again this is a Costco idea. Can Sams club excutives come up with their own Idea instead of stealing them from Costco.
Call them out on here and call Ethics with Specifics get MM on the hook so they can’t say they did not know. This is what now passes for Leadership . Only the very best were kept!! Lol what a f---ing joke!

Here's one for you all to chime in on. Just found out that one of our managers is dating an associate. Prior to this his live-in girlfriend was also an associate. Apparently other managers covered for him. This is totally unacceptable.
Depends on who the runner and cashier are. It is faster if done correctly. The problem is that they don't give the front end the payroll required to follow their own policies. Must have a runner, always someone on self, etc. It's the first day of the new week and managers already going around seeing if anyone can be cut early because we're over in payroll. How is that even possible? The computer can't do math? Everyone full time is already down to 37 1/2. Just BS.
Totally agree focus is out of whack, let’s focus on cashiers cause they don’t know how to ring sh-- up, on the other hand members are experts let them ring their sh-- up and no transfer I call free and shrinks never been better hehehe right🤫
This runner thing is stupid. Yes members hate it cuz they are afraid for having to pay for everything in their cart. Next time they will go through scam 'n go. Pay only for what you want. How stupid do we look that we focus everything on one side but ignore the other half where members help themselves to freebies. This is why shrink is out of control and will only get worse.
Most likely something Costco does. This company copies everything Costco does except how to treat there employees and of course the pay.
Works really good in our club. All the cashier's enjoy it. Our managers are overly involved in what we do. I guess my club is a lucky club. All the problems people complain about we don't have
It’s a waste of payroll, slower, members can’t stand it. Members can unload themselves and take the runners and open another register, it’s a win win for everyone. Members constantly complaining about it as well, what will they think of next?
The runner thing must have been invented by a child. It's the stupidest thing ever. Does not get the lines down faster if anything its slows them down. Members hate it and so do we!!!!
