Just heard about this. Looks like Seattle is getting too expensive. Hopefully there is room in India for us.

Not a rumor, the sale went through in June: https://news.theregistryps.com/microsoft-acquires-daytona-laguna-office-campus-near-redmond-hq-for-250mm/
Maybe Microsoft will hire all the amazing engineers at Honeywell in Redmond?
Affected group works on providing current terrain databases to planes.
The leadership who will make that decision only look out a year or two at most for earnings. What can we do to increase cash now and show good number now. They don't have plans to be here when sh1t hits fan.cash is King, not people. Surprised a Hon site has existed there for so long when they work so close with sites in MN and KS that have room
The Redmond plant has a lease on the land that was renewed a few years ago. It sits behind big M which has buildings surround the Redmond site
Big M bought the land and other existing property to expand their footprint
It will only be matter of time before big M offers a buyout of the lease to start demo and construction once permit in hand
$ talks at Hon
Probably old ETS. That group has lost about 10 people in the last year.
What group? IT ? For a company that wants to be a software force Honeywell seems clueless about the importance of onsite network folks.
One group in Redmond (about 6 employees total?) has been told their jobs are moving to India, they will be assisting with transition and training those people, and that they can apply for other jobs in Honeywell. They've been told their jobs will last until around February so they have some time to figure out what they want to do and job hunt - lots of tech jobs in Redmond so they may end up making more than they did at HW.
