I swear every single thread has the same 4-5 people on it. Extremely annoying. To the game over, titanic, and hit send people, why are you still with this company? You've been saying this for over a year and yet here you are day after day complaining. I have a simple solution. Just leave. If everybody had your attitude we would have been out of DSD five years ago. To the Nabisco "cheerleader", no, our numbers are not up. They are actually very poor. And stop calling tates a power brand. Up til two years ago, I've never even heard of them. Had my grocery manager in my busiest walmart scan them and they sell a whopping 3 a week. That isn't gonna save DSD. Honestly nothing will save DSD. We all know that DSD will be gone some time in the future. It is very ignorant to not see that fact. If not in 6 months then in 6 years, etc. Honestly, retail as a whole will become a shell of what it once was in 10-15 years. Truth is, nobody on our level knows anything. Just get what you can out of the job while you can. Rant over.

I walk past things in stores all the time without buying them. Pretty sure that's not the way it works. Probably a small amount of impulse buying but I wouldn't bet on it.
Yes people will buy more. Sales will increase and DSD won't go away!
At Walmart you could put dog Sh!t on display for $1 and they would sell 50 bags a day some how

The rich comment I made is not against rich its because the workers used to get rich with the company, do you know that full time order writers for MDLZ dont even get a 401k? Companies used to care more about there workers not many jobs offer pensions anymore fewer want you to even be there for 30 years that want turn over to save money screw the people who make you money I'll have 100 people to fill your job if you make 1 tiny slip up.
I've got my 30 years in and I'll collect my pension and be fine but younger people dont even understand that. Let say dsd isn't ending the younger guy doing my same job can never retire because he doesn't even have a 401k though the company.

The economy under both for people at our level is bad. The rich get richer and we get the sc-aps.
You dont understand it's not just DSD stores are also dead more and more people are not shopping in stores there shopping online. I only go to the store now for cold cuts, meat dairy and some produce. Why go to the store when I can do it all from my phone and have it in less then a day?
When you here the news that says like X company sent a 1000 jobs to Mexico its normally a lie. It's more like they eliminated 800 jobs and sent 200 jobs there with them making 5x the product as that 1000 people
Also for Mexico people always thinks its cheap labor but it's not its cheap shipping sometimes its in the middle of North and south American, and Mexico has both the Atlantic(eruerp) and Pacific(asia) oceans in less then a 1/2 days drive at some points making it easier to ship world wide.

Nabisco is just evolving into the 21st century. DSD is dead! More companies will follow suit. Store's want the margins. Plus Keebler is killing us on price. Pen and phone is winning!
Both economys are bad period. And it doesn't matter who's president we are at an "Automation Industry Revaluation" in 50 years there very be almost no jobs left almost every thing can be Automated we are seeing the early days of it now look at the 1950-1990s it took 1000s of factory workers to get things done. Now it takes 100s in the future 10s
Tates is a growing brand it's not going to save DSD but it starting in the east I've seen them go from no one hearing about them to having as much as 50% of the space as peprage farm taking that space from the kebler set, selling 30-40 cases a week in my med size stores is nothing to laugh at. In my Walmarts since they are not brought in by the same guy they cost over a $1 more per bag and sell nothing. Right now it's a slow growing regional thing with great growth opportunity. Again I'm not saying its going to save dsd I'm just saying it's not a small as you think
My guess is people are waiting till they get a severance of some kind, to see if it is worth hanging around for. And then the unemployment as well. What used to be a fun place to work has really become the pits! Last holiday party our dm hosted only two reps went to, out of pity. Tell you anything? It’s not even about the micromanaging that goes on now, that happens about everywhere. It’s more about how management treats people, discrimination of every shape and size! Personally makes me sick to see. I’ll wait it out for now and see what comes, dsd won’t last much longer. If I can hit a number I will, if I can’t, I won’t! The I don’t care anymore attitude makes it more palatable!

People are just speaking their opinions. Like it or not. True or fake news! That's pretty much how this site works. It's a shame that some people ruin it. Take the good with the bad so to speak. My advice is don't let it bother you! Hopefully September will give us some clarity
