Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Will laid off employees be offered jobs?

Since one of the Sam's Clubs that closed at the start of the year (the one near Chicago) is being turned into an e-commerce fulfillment center, do you think employees who were laid off as part of the closing will be offered jobs before anybody else?

It doesn't affect me as I'm nowhere near Chicago, but I'm just thinking that it would be the right thing to do. Whether it will be done is another thing...

Of course they will. At 3 times the work of your previous job for half your previous pay.

Probably depends on the employee. If they’re good, a lot of times jobs can be found for them.
