PC/TC positions end August 2. Pay cut if you accept a lower paying position. Maybe a pay increase if you get the People Lead. Severance pay available if you opt out.

I don’t think their severance pay for P/C or T/C because they have to apply for other people lead position , It’s not being Eliminated it is just getting the name changed and different duties.

Is Severence pay offered?

Invoice was to keep their pay. You had to do a request to add the difference back into their pay. However, February 2018 they changed the policy and you now do not get to keep the pay if you are not moving into a same level job.

The ME on the wire goes live for SC Sept 17th. When did they eliminate personnel at SC? Weren't they told in the Spring? Just trying to guess when PC and/or TC at supercenters will be told. My MHRM told me orientation will go to a 5 min conversation and then to the GLMS terminal they will go, but she acted like she had no idea when...but next week it's under maintenance, again, for over a weeks time...any thoughts?

It seems workday will be starting soon at Sam’s, I didn’t see anything for Walmart on the WIRE. I’m sure it’s going to come in the future though.

The "me" page was interesting. It came up for me and I'm at a supercenter.... I read the Sam's People Modernization information on the Wire and that was a sign of everything being done very independently. I'm a T/C at a low volume store and I am scared about my position being eliminated. Once Pathways and GLMS update, I can see them cutting me. I am part time t/c and my other pt job is being eliminated as well. Realistically they could do orientation through the Academy using the iPads our assistants got "for training". Why else did the PC's get computer upgrades if things weren't going to change a lot? We just had our thin clients replaced and then a month later the PC gets a manager's workbench computer. Something is coming if you look at all the new apps, keyboxes, byod, and everything being automated. I'd really hate to see these positions go. Personnel does a lot more than people think.

Workday, Inc. (“Workday”) announced that Wal-mart Stores, Inc., a worldwide retailer, has purchased a subscription to Workday Human Capital Management, Recruiting, Learning and Planning. Workday is not updating its financial guidance for the fourth quarter of the current fiscal year ending January 31, 2017 or for the fiscal year ending January 31, 2018. There is a page on the Wire referring to a page to be on the Home Page called ME. It looks like Workday will be the main HR provider of info for associates. It looks likely to start mid Sept. It doesn't look like there is anything else for PC to do after this.

Yes, I heard that years ago. But the duties would just be added to an all ready existing salary mgr role, not an additional asm in the headcount.

It was posted at one time that the personnel office would be taken over by a salaried member of mgt. Just wondering if this still holds to be true. Also if it is to be taken over by mgt. would the personnel coor. not be able to apply for that position as well as any other member of mgt. Look at the years of service in this position. Would they not qualify to hold that position? Has anyone else heard this?

Invoice clerks could file a pay exception but most where long term associates and moving to a b or c would have dropped them down to the level max. If you got to keep your pay after moving down, that just means you don't make very much money. I was making almost $22 per hour, way over b or c max.

When it comes to the elimination....any updates?

The HR Guidelines for the invoice elimination spelled out the pay guidelines. If the invoice associate moved to a lower grade level and was below the cap, they retained full pay. This was to be retro'd by PC doing a pay adj form to the HO. If they were above the cap for the grade level they moved to, they lost down to the cap. With that said, the field hourly pay plan updated in January of this year and there are now no pay protections for current eliminations.

I am a PC too and ours did not keep the pay. No clue as to why you were able to do that and get it approved, but unless they moved into the same pay grade it didn't happen.

I am a PC, too, and I know invoice clerks kept their pay after submitting a request, CUZ I SUBMITTED IT AND IT WAS APPROVED! Lets move on. If the company would keep that going with these changes, people wouldn't be AS upset. With customer first rolling out, there won't be many positions/hours for us to move into.

You keep your pay because it’s a restructuring of jobs

I am a PC and I can tell you for sure my invoice clerk got to keep her pay. Initially it did drop her down in pay, but I had to call compensationand submit a form on the Wire for her pay to be put back to where it was before the demotion. Because not every clerk got to keep there pay does Not mean others are lying. Now it is stated in the talking points that you will lose pay if you down levels.

Does anyone know for sure? Is it September, January, or just restructured to a different role or name? Too many conflicting rumors. If we are gone the company needs to be honest, we have spent years doing what is right by them they should do the same. What happened to respect for the individual and integrity is this just what they say or do they mean it? Their is not a comparable job to pc or tc severance should at least be an option. Does anyone have any information on if severance will be offered?

You're talking about the DM in ogp, right? You only get to keep your pay if you get the DM position. The others are a grade B and they haven't let associates being eliminated keep their pay if demoting since the invoice clerk.

I'm a TC and the look of excitement on new hires faces when I tell them my 23years journey with the company is priceless. How does a third party company with no ties to Walmart/SamsClub relate to that

This is truly a sad day for our company.

The company is Workday. It is starting at Sam's Club first. I guess they get to be the Guinea pigs. It is talked about on the Sam's Club layoff page. They mention Workday and people modernization. The PTC's are just as worried about job elimination as we are.

It may not feel this way, but there is more to life than Walmart.
